All requests for scholarships must be completed by 5pm, 3 days prior to the event for which you're requesting a scholarship. All items with an asterisk (*) are required.

All scholarship recipients must register online, once they receive confirmation of their request. If registration is not completed online, the scholarship funds will be reallocated. This allows us to ensure that all attendees who request a scholarship have a chance to receive one.

How we relate to Money & Requested Workshop Fees

When we offer NVC workshops, we meet a variety of our own needs, including those for contribution, connection and growth. We also want to meet our needs for support and sustainability in our livelihood of teaching and building NVC community. At the same time, we also value the varying needs of all those desiring learning, growth and connection around NVC. We have a deep belief in and commitment to making NVC available to all people regardless of their financial means.

In NVC, we view money as a strategy to meet needs. We have stated an amount we would like to receive for the event. This is neither a minimum nor maximum amount, but simply a guide for your consideration in contributing to and supporting the event. We ask that each person hold consciously our needs for support and sustainability of our continued work in NVC along with their own needs and choose to contribute the most but not more than that amount which works for you consistent so that all sides of the transaction are considered.

Registration (Convenience) Charge

We are sometimes charged an event registration fee by the system we use - this is 2.5% of the ticket price plus $.99 each ticket. This is the fee we are directly charged to register each participant through our online system. This includes online services to register and the ability to process credit cards (it does not include credit card fees).

While we are happy to work with you in terms of fees for the scholarship as much as possible, we do request that you cover the registration (convenience) charge as that is a direct out-of-pocket expense we incur to another system and reduces our ability to work with folks on fees.
