Bonnie became interested in non-violent communication in 2006 and read the book over the Thanksgiving holiday with her family in Florida. It immediately became useful, especially during that trip home.
In May of 2007 she attended a 3-day introduction with Marshall Rosenberg. She knew she was hooked when she saw how the inherently simple yet powerful language transforms, helps resolve conflicts and supports connection to ourselves and others.
She has since read extensively on the subject and attended three more workshops, one with Kelly Bryson who authored “Don’t be Nice, Be Real,” a 9-day international intensive training with Marshall Rosenberg and 5 other gifted trainers and “Living Energy of Needs” with Susan Skye, Robert Gonzales, Wes Taylor and Gregg Kendrick. Bonnie worked with an NVC coach for one-on-one mentoring and skill-building and has regular practice with an empathy buddy. Bonnie continues to build her skill through ongoing practice and trainings. During the summer of 2009 Bonnie was an assistant at the New York Intensive – a week-long residential training in NVC. She also was an assistant in the children’s program at the Family Heart Camp in Northern Virginia.
Bonnie invites you to contact her to discuss how she may help you put NVC and mindfulness work into practice in your life. Bonnie values accessibility and especially wants this work to reach individuals who have more limited means and is receptive to different types of financial arrangements and offers scholarships.
Bonnie offers a complimentary initial consultation. For more information or to arrange an appointment please email her.
